One of my first big concept and design jobs was to create a website for a themepark in the Netherlands called: Efteling. I based the website on the book you see on the right. It was published in 1999, and won an IAAPA Brass Ring Award for the best Themepark Website in the World.

Sadly I don’t have the designs in my posession anymore, and the site has been overhauled and redesigned twice ever since…

I remember my first visit to Efteling very vividly, I was 5 years old, and together with my father, mother and sister we visited the famous fairytale forest dreamed up by Anton Pieck. It rained tremendously that day, but it didn’t matter, because I was under the spell of fairies, goblins and other creatures that lived in that magical forest.
